COULD be helpful

It could be nice for some people,but it really wasn't that great.

It just seems like a waste to compile things together,and it looks like a way to promote your other stuff.

I don't advise a 3rd.

I would say you stole most of the stuff in this game,but I could be wrong.

Of course the graphics and stuff are pretty much the same as the CartoonSmart tutorial game..

Yes I used the tutorial as a start point but I assure you everything was built in this game from the ground up, and btw have a look at that game does it have an exit? no, does it have a weapon pickup? no, so cut me some slack. YAY I'm over the moon I'm on front page Thank you So So So Much for the Input ^^. P.S. the bugs will be fixed soon I promise.

Well,I thought at first it would be helpful because I have seen people making pretty amazing things in Paint.

But then I got to the part where it said "Draw 'Awesome Background Here'" XD Then I knew where it was going

Anyway,it's pretty good for a small chuckle.

It's a cool game,it just needs to be fixed up big time...lemme just go over a small list of things.

It is really gltichy.Maybe fix some codes?

I noticed that the characters running went forward,and kept looping awkwardly.Was the run completely finished?

1 enemy,that jelly blob thing,could only be hit on the fourth combo attack...maybe the third,too.Make a duck move or something and be able to attack while ducked.

Yah...the biggest problem is going back to the glitches.The platform code must've been bugged or something.

Otherwise,great graphics,kinda good music,fun game,challenging,and it rocks.

thanks for the good review. The game had issues from day 1 and like I said we only had 5 days to complete this and we were thinking too big. You know you're supposed to jump on the blobs right :P

[Platform tutorial V.1.3]

Meh

As my own opinion,I'd say this tutorial sucks.

First of all,you character lands on the platform after half it's body goes through.

Second,Your code has some un-needed codes,such as the gotoAndStop(2); or gotoAndStop(1); codes to make your character turn.It can be solved by _xscale = -scale or _xscale = +scale.

Third,most people like games where your character starts walking and has a jumping position and such.This tutorial is only the same figure that turns and stuff.

Fourth,hovering is a really stupid idea for a Platform Game.In your Red-Ball game,it is really easy to beat each lvl with the hover maneuver.

Fifth,when I first tried this tutorial,none of your extra codes worked(lives,hitTest).I've already made my own code.

That's all.

I dont get it

I don't understand anything about the game.My job is to figure out how the CPU got the answer,but I enter a number,and none of it made sense...whatever.

But you don't have to break the text apart unless your sending the Flash Document to someone over MSN or an email,etc...even if someone else on Newgrounds or something didn't have that font,it doesn't mean you have to break it apart.

If you want them to see it, yes it does. If the text isn't broken apart and you don't have that font, it will get replaced by a different font. Same thing as if you were writing something in Word using a special font, and then you sent it to someone who doesn't have that font, the font will get replaced with another one.
