You should know about Hatchiko...a Japanese Dog who's love and loyalty for his master earned the highest respect for Akitas in Japan.

Basic Story...

Hatchiko was sold to the daughter of a University Professor. But when she married, she decided to give the puppy to her father.

The two were Inseparable! And every day he would walk him to the train station, release him to go back home and he would meet him every evening at the same time, same place, every day.

But one day...the Professor died of a heart attack. Hatchiko was given away to a friend, but relentless he was, Hatchiko choose to become a stray and continued to wait for his master at the train station.

For 8 years he repeated the same routine. Until he fell to his old age and slept his life away at the last place where he saw his master.

There is a full original Japanese movie if you don't mind subtitles with a some-what slow moving story. But it's still touching all the same.
